Our team has been serving the greater Seacoast community for over 20 years. We're not a revolving door. Many of our staff have been with this practice for a decade or more, and some of our patients have been seeing the same hygienist or assistant for just as long.
Meet the team
Portsmouth has always been home for Dr. Chris Getchell, whose family has had roots in this community for generations. He earned his DMD from Tufts University and spent time practicing in Florida and Maine before making his way back to the Seacoast, where he and his wife Jamie are raising their two children, Miles and Margo. Outside the office he's most at home on a mountain, whether he's skiing, hiking, fishing, or shooting photography. He took over this practice with one goal: to provide the kind of personal, unhurried care that this community has always deserved.

Liz is a Portsmouth native who grew up just a few miles from the office and has been with this practice for over 13 years. She earned her degree as a Registered Dental Hygienist from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston, and is known for her gentle touch and warm manner. Patients who used to dread cleanings often find themselves looking forward to their appointment with her. Outside the office she loves hiking, catching a good play or movie, and spending time with friends.
Beth has been a dedicated dental hygienist for over 16 years, bringing experience, precision and a confident approach to every patient she cares for. She is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable while supporting long-term oral health needs.
Outside the office, Beth calls Kittery, ME home and enjoys spending time with her husband, Eben and their two sons. Whether she's out on a walk or at home with her beloved pets, she values balance, connection and the simple moments.

With over 20 years of experience as a dental assistant, Helen is a cornerstone of this practice. Born in China and a Portsmouth resident for over two decades, Helen's cheerful, upbeat energy puts patients at ease the moment they sit down. She takes great care to make every appointment feel calm and comfortable. Outside the office, Helen tends to her beloved flower garden, and enjoys hiking, golfing, and spending time with her family and her two dogs.

Isis is a dedicated dental assistant bringing along three years of experience, She is known for her ability to instantly connect with patients and make every visit feel comfortable and relaxed. Her personable nature and natural sense of humor help create a positive, welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
Outside the office, Isis enjoys staying active, cheering on the Boston Celtics, taking beach walks, and exploring new places through travel.

Sierra is the Office Manager and a friendly face you’ll often see at the front desk. She works closely with Dr. Getchell to support patients and help the practice continue to grow. With over 10 years of experience in the dental field, Sierra is dedicated to creating a smooth and welcoming experience for every patient who walks through the door.
She enjoys being part of a team that prioritizes patient care and takes pride in creating a stress-free, comfortable experience around oral health. Outside of the office, Sierra loves spending time hiking, working on puzzles, and being with her young daughter and their cat.
