OUR STORY
A practice rooted in community.
When Dr. Chris Getchell took ownership of this practice, he made a promise: to keep genuine, patient-first dentistry alive in Portsmouth. Chris grew up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where community isn’t just a talking point but a lifestyle. His family also has roots here in the seacoast going back generations; his grandfather and great-grandfather owned the Paterson Getchell Paint Store on Daniel Street in downtown Portsmouth. Returning to the Seacoast to practice Dentistry felt like coming home.
After earning his DMD from Tufts University, Chris practiced in Florida and Maine before making his way back to New Hampshire, where he and his wife Jamie are raising their two children, Miles and Margo. Chris and his family love everything outdoors, from skiing and hiking, to fishing, photography and exploring the mountains. Our office holds some of the beautiful panoramic photographs Chris has taken over the years traveling.
This dental practice was founded over 25 years ago by Dr. Tina Ho, who built something rare: a team and a patient family that grew up together. Chris purchased this practice because it was worth protecting, and to continue the legacy of personal care our patients have come to love.
